Marketplace Ignitors
At DML, we call our faithful monthly donors “Marketplace Ignitors.” Some have a favorite partner or favorite country that they want to support; and some contribute to the regular operational costs of DML to help the ministry keep moving forward.
Because of the consistent support of Marketplace Ignitors, DML teams throughout Africa and beyond are continually empowered to spread the light of Christ and encourage others to show Christ’s light every day of the week – not just on Sundays. DML is on a mission to keep lights burning for all to see, and we simply couldn’t do it without the support of our Marketplace Ignitors.

Why should you become a Marketplace Ignitor?
Your monthly gift enables us to continually mobilize our team to teach and lead the local church in Marketplace Ministers. By becoming a Marketplace Ignitor, you ignite whole teams in countries across Africa and beyond! The total amount of monthly support needed for these teams is $23,000 USD ($276,000 USD per year).
Support for teams covers communication and travel, equipment, scholarships for those who need help to attend workshops, translations, as well as stipends for part-time and full-time implementation teammates. What is a Gospel Patron?
Great Question! John Rinehart’s book, Gospel Patrons (get book here!) shares three stories of people who used their business to support the spreading of the gospel in ways that are still impacting us today. While many have heard of William Tyndale and his Bible translations, most have not heard the story of Humphrey Monmouth, who supported Tyndale’s work and was imprisoned for doing so.
The body of Christ is made up of many people with gifts and talents in all shapes and sizes, with the ability to work together. As someone who is passionate about spreading the news that Work is Worship, we encourage you to read this book as we believe you will see yourself in each of these powerful stories.
Gospel Patrons support the scholarships needed for the trainings that we give in a theology of work and basic business principles across our partnerships.
To provide scholarships for DML leadership training around the world, we need to raise approximately $70,000 annually! Gospel Patrons equip disciples in each of our partner countries to advance the gospel through business development. By definition, your participation in this work makes you a gospel patron!
DML provides trainings to four audiences:
- Pastors and Church Leaders/Denominational Level Trainings
- Seminaries and Bible Colleges/Universities
- Marketplace Ministers in all sectors: business, government, education, and more!
- Partner Ministry leaders who are implementing DML in countries and places where DML is not working.
How do scholarships in DML work?
Scholarships empower those that are financially challenged to have the ability to attend our workshops and trainings. With just $20, we can provide a two-day training and meals for a pastor or church leader to attend our theology of work workshop. With just $50, we can train business leaders for three hours per week for twelve weeks.
Thanks to supporters like you, in 2025, we were able to train 18,000 pastors and 12,000 business owners to learn how to do their work to the glory of God! With your help, we’d love to train even more in 2026!

Sustainability Projects
DML started sustainability projects with our implementing partners in 2023. These sustainability projects are in the form of businesses that these partners can do to generate income that can support the ministry and also implement the lessons that they are teaching. As our partners are able to generate income, we are able to open new partnerships in other countries or with other denominations.
Every sustainability project goes through an intense vetting process with follow-up mentoring with Dr. Emeline Nde. We currently have eight active projects, ranging from a print shop to pig farm to connectivity to poultry and more! It has been exciting to see jobs created, wealth created, and the stewardship of resources!
